Literature Text

The leaves have descended

From their sanctuaries

To dissolve into the roots.

Now nothing remains

On those barren trees,

Slowly covered by

Dusts of snow and

Bites of frost.

The chilling howls

Of stinging winds

Swirl around to

Devour the last of warm hues.

Aha, my first deviation of 2014!  :w00t:

So I'm a little late on presenting something about winter...  (Since the first day of winter was December 21st.) Still, I figured I'd share this with all of you anyway.

It may or may not be obvious, but I'm trying to brush off the rust from my writing muses.  It's been a while since I've written any in-depth literature, really.  But I do like this piece!  Even though winter is my least favorite season of the year...  But I digress.

Here in San Diego, we never get winters like the image displays, but I know a lot of you are experiencing cold weather.  Regardless of where you live and how cold it gets, do the best you can to stay warm and keep boosting your immune system!  (Fact:  Winter is when many people become highly prone to cold and flu viruses.)

As always, feedback is welcome.  Enjoy!  :)
